1. JOHN GEORGE1 PECKHAM was born circa 1500, and died between 1524 and 1610. He married ELIZABETH BRAND, who was born circa 1505.

Generation Two

2. HENRY2 PECKHAM (John George1), son of (1) John George1 and Elizabeth (BRAND) PECKHAM, was born circa 1525 in Sussex, and died between 1569 and 1635. He married MARY BADGER, who was born circa 1538.

3. HENRY3 PECKHAM (Henry2, John George1), son of (2) Henry2 and Mary (BADGER) PECKHAM, was born circa 1570 in England, and died on 1 Nov. 1616 in Sussex. He married (CK-2) ELIZABETH BADGER, daughter of (CK-1) Robert BADGER, who was born circa 1572 in England.

Generation Four

4. JOHN4 PECKHAM (Henry3, Henry2, John George1) of Newport, son of (3) Henry3 and (CK-2) Elizabeth (BADGER) PECKHAM, was born on 8 April 1595, and died between 1646 and 1705. He married in Newport, in 1627, (IZ-9) MARY CLARKE, daughter of (IZ-3) Thomas and (UX-6) Rose (KERRICH) CLARKE, who was christened on 26 July 1607 in Westhorpe, Suffolk, England[4], and died in 1647/8 in Newport. John Peckham is said to have been an ordained clargyman in England, at one time
chaplain to the Earl of Hertford. His religious views changing, he left the
clergy and probably came to Boston with Sir Henry Vane in 1635, and in 1638 was
at Newport at the southerly end of Rhode Island. Many of Governor Vane's
friends were banished from Boston in 1637 because of their opinions being at
variance with those of the Puritan element in control of the government of
Massachusetts Bay Colony. John Peckham was an active member of the Baptist
colony at Newport, and in 1648 was one of the 10 men who formed the church. He
lived in that part of Newport which is now called Middletown.
Roosevelt descends from son Stephen from other marriage.

5. JOHN5 PECKHAM (John4, Henry3, Henry2, John George1), son of (4) John4 and (IZ-9) Mary (CLARKE) PECKHAM, was born circa 1645 in Little Compton[8], and died between 12 Feb. 1712 and 31 Dec. 1712[8]. He married in Newport, in 1667, SARAH NEWPORT, who was born in 1648 in Newport. [8]

7. WILLIAM5 PECKHAM, (REV.) (John4, Henry3, Henry2, John George1) of Newport, son of (4) John4 and (IZ-9) Mary (CLARKE) PECKHAM, was born in 1647[8], and died in 1734[10]. He married (IZ-10) SUSANNAH CLARKE, daughter of (IZ-8) Joseph and Margaret CLARKE, who was born circa 1653 in Newport. [9]
Supposed to have been the first Baptist minister ordained on the continent.

Generation Six

8. ISAAC6 PECKHAM (John5, John4, Henry3, Henry2, John George1), son of (5) John5 and Sarah (NEWPORT) PECKHAM, was born on 11 April 1688 in Newport[6], and died on 10 Feb. 1765[13]. He married in Portsmouth, circa 1726, (AHC-18) JANE SISSON, daughter of (AHC-12) Richard and (HT-5) Ann (CARD) SISSON, who was born on 5 July 1706 in Portsmouth, and died on 25 Sept. 1778 in Lanesborough, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, USA[5]. 9. WILLIAM6 PECKHAM (William5, John4, Henry3, Henry2, John George1) of Middletown, son of (7) William5, (Rev.) and (IZ-10) Susannah (CLARKE), was born on 30 Aug. 1675[14], and died on 18 Jan. 1764[10, 16]. He married on 10 Jan. 1703, (AJM-14) MARY TEW[15], daughter of (AJM-13) Henry and Dorcas TEW, who was born on 12 Oct. 1680 in Newport[16], and died on 3 May 1753[15]. [12, 17]

Generation Seven

10. ANNE7 PECKHAM (Isaac6, John5, John4, Henry3, Henry2, John George1), daughter of (8) Isaac6 and (AHC-18) Jane (SISSON) PECKHAM, was born on 13 Aug. 1731 in Middletown[6], and died on 17 April 1797[5]. She married in Middletown, on 5 Jan. 1749, (HL-58) JAMES BARKER, son of (HL-47) James and (11) Mary Tew7 (PECKHAM) BARKER, who was born on 12 Dec. 1725 in Middletown[6], and died on 17 Jan. 1796[13]. 11. MARY TEW7 PECKHAM (William6, William5, John4, Henry3, Henry2, John George1), daughter of (9) William6 and (AJM-14) Mary (TEW) PECKHAM, was born on 7 Sept. 1704 in Newport, and died on 12 June 1728 in Middletown. She married in Middletown, on 21 Jan. 1724, (HL-47) JAMES BARKER, son of (HL-39) James and Mary (COOK) BARKER, who was born on 30 Dec. 1700 in Middletown, and died on 27 March 1772 in Middletown.
