Generation One

1. JOHN1 FORD of Weymouth, England, United Kingdom was born about 1605[4], and died between 1631 and 1725. [4]
+2i.ANDREW2 FORD, b. about 1620[1] in Weymouth[4]; d. on 4 March 1693[1] in Hingham, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts, United States[1]; m. about 1646[1] (AAB-2) ELLINOR LOVELL, b. in England[1] about 1628[1], d. after July 1683[1], daughter of (AAB-1) Robert and Elizabeth (_____) LOVELL.

Generation Two

2. ANDREW2 FORD (John1), son of (1) John1 FORD, was born about 1620[1] in Weymouth[4], and died on 4 March 1693[1] in Hingham[1]. He married about 1646[1], (AAB-2) ELLINOR LOVELL, daughter of (AAB-1) Robert and Elizabeth (_____) LOVELL, who was born about 1628[1] in England[1], and died after July 1683[1]. [1, 4]
Elizabeth Cobb Stewart, in "Descendants of Andrew Ford of Weymouth, Massachusetts" argues that Andrew could not have been son of John Ford who sailed with the Hull Company as stated in the 1916 history. This is based on the fact that we had to be twenty-one or older in 1642, when Andrew is recorded as a Weymouth landowner. Hence his bithdate would be about 1620, not 1632, whereas John Ford was only born about 1605 (age 30 in 1635). Furthermore, Andrew's name does not appear on the ship's passenger list with John Ford when the 1916 history claims he travelled on the ship at age 3. Stewart also argues that Andew may have come from Somerset, not Weymouth, England.[5]
+3i.MARY3 FORD, b. about 1650; d. on 15 March 1715[8] in Weymouth, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts[8]; m. about 1673 (ASY-2) ABIAH WHITMAN, b. in Weymouth, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts[7] about 1645[2], d. on 28 Jan. 1727/8[2, 6], son of (ASY-1) John and Ruth (_____) WHITMAN.
