She married in Inveresk[19], on 5 Dec. 1792[19], (XJ-1) WILLIAM JOHNSTONE, who was born about 1770 in Inveresk Parish.
Based on christening records of her siblings, her family moved about 1786 to Duddingston Parish, Midlothian, which is adjacent to Inveresk parish where her children were christened.
